The first trailer for the upcoming film The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, didn't reveal much – except that DiCaprio was breathing really, really hard throughout the entire trailer. While the second trailer still has some heavy breathing, there's also a lot more context for the film.
The trailer gives us a look at the bear that leaves DiCaprio wounded enough for his hunting team to leave him behind to die.
Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the film is inspired from true events that led the legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) hunting down his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). This might be the film that finally gives DiCaprio that shiny gold statue he has yet to ever hold, but who knows. It seems like Hollywood loves him and hates him.
