During E3 2017 DONTNOD, the developer behind Life is Strange, announced that they were hard at work on another game in the series. Around the same time, it was revealed that another studio, Deck Nine, is also working on a Life is Strange game.
The difference between the two games is that DontNod's game is a sequel and Deck Nine's is a prequel. Even though Deck Nine is new to the franchise, their game will be part of the overall Life is Strange narrative and will be considered canon.
The prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, received a new gameplay video (above) that shows off a little gameplay for Chloe and David. Life is Strange: Before the Storm is set to release August 31st on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
