[Watch] Mission: Impossible Fallout gets official trailer during Super Bowl 52

The official trailer for Mission: Impossible Fallout has officially released and it looks like they kept the scene where Tom Cruise absolutely wrecked his ankle. The trailer dropped during the Super Bowl game between the Eagles and Patriots last night.

While filming Mission: Impossible Fallout, Tom Cruise jumped off the edge of one building and attempted to land or catch the side of another, which can be seen towards the end of the trailer. In this scene, Cruise landed wrong and snapped his ankle. They seemingly kept the footage and used it in the trailer.

Mission: Impossible Fallout is the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible series. The film picks up after Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) botched a mission, losing some plutonium in the process. With plutonium having gone missing and bad guys constantly up to no good, Hunt and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) have to set things right in a limited amount of time.

Superman’s Henry Cavill joined the Mission: Impossible Fallout cast with his infamous mustache. In addition to Cavill,  Angela Bassett and Vanessa Kirby also joined the film’s cast.

Mission: Impossible Fallout is set to release on July 27th, 2018.
