[Watch] Monster Hunter: World gets new trailer revealing Mega Man crossover

Monster Hunter: World is easily one of the most anticipated games in the early release window of 2018, and it looks like the game will be getting a small crossover with one of Capcom's biggest brands. Mega Man will make an appearance in Monster Hunter: World in the form of a Palico, which are your companion characters on your journey. Mega Man will be able to attack enemies and comes in the form of a 3-D model of a 2-D sprite, which admittedly looks very awkward compared to the rest of the visual style.

Here's the full trailer, most of which features story beats. To see just the Mega Man part, skip to 2:45.

On top of merely taking the form of your Palico, Monster Hunter: World will also have five weapons inspired by the Mega Man series, which are theĀ Great Sword, Gunlance, Long Sword, Charge Blade and Bow. We'll also be able to play the game to the tune of classic Mega Man music, so for fans of the old-school platformers, it's a dream come true.

Monster Hunter: World releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26th, 2018 and PC at a later unannounced date.
