A few years ago, Netflix kicked off their own Marvel universe that is loosely connected to the MCU. Lesser known characters like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist joined forces with the likes of Daredevil to combat crime on the streets of New York. It has proven to be a major success for the streaming service and they are continuing to expand their Marvel line-up with shows like The Punisher.
One of the most controversial comic-book characters of all time made his Netflix debut in Daredevil season 2 and was met with lots of praise, mostly due to Jon Bernthal's excellent performance. After Netflix saw the glowing reactions, they greenlit his own show. Netflix has been teasing us with various clips and trailers all year but hasn't really told us when we could watch it but now we finally know!
Netflix subscribers will be able to enjoy The Punisher on Friday, November 17th but if you can't wait that long, there's a new trailer to tide you over. The show will follow Frank Castle before the events of Daredevil season 2 and we'll see the terrible things that he had to endure while in the military and also how much he suffered when he returned home to encounter more tragedies and eventually take on the criminal underworld as the ruthless vigilante known as The Punisher.

The show will release on the same day as DC's Justice League film so you should get a pretty big fix for superhero content that weekend!
The Punisher releases exclusively on Netflix on November 17th, 2017.
