[Watch] New 13-minute Prey gameplay video goes heavy on the Mimics in 60 FPS

Bethesda Softworks has not been shy about giving people in-depth looks at Another inside look at Arkane Studios' upcoming Shock-inspired re-imagining of Prey. This time, the YouTube channel known as Cerealkillerz got their hands on the game and showed off an all-new section with some new Mimic abilities. It goes without saying that the gameplay video is a bit spoilery, so watch it at your own risk.

Here's the video:

What the video shows off really well is just how interconnected everything is. It's easy to get from one level to another without so much as a loading screen, and there's a lot of environmental storytelling to boot. The post-it notes with "This is not a Mimic" is especially effective at communicating the events that transpired before the player's arrival without actually showing anything.

You won't have to wait too long to get your hands on Prey as a demo for the game is set to release on April 27th, which will take players through the first hour of the game. The demo comes just over a week before the game is set to release on May 5th, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
