[Watch] New Horizon: Zero Dawn time lapse trailer gives a glimpse of the world before the machines

Hey! Look at that, another Horizon: Zero Dawn trailer! Not that that's a bad thing, of course, it just means that Sony and Guerrilla Games are in full ad mode as the pair prepare for the game's launch in less than two weeks. This latest trailer is a quick time lapse trailer that shows off what the world looked like before nature reclaimed it, and frankly, it looks a lot like our world today.

It's the classic humanity being forced to revert to an existence thought long extinct type of narrative thread, though there isn't much indication of how much time has gone by since the world went dark. You'd have to imagine that it's been quite a few years, though.

Sony and Guerrilla Games have been steadily releasing some trailers showing off various aspects of the game including the different tactics you'll be using to topple the machines as well as the game's long and intricate development cycle.

Horizon: Zero Dawn releases later this month on February 28th, 2017 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
