A new trailer for the reboot of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 has been released by Netflix, and it's looks just like it did back in its heyday: Cheap. For the record, that's awesome.
The original series in 1989 was basically just Joel Hodgson in some purposely cheesy sets in between him being superimposed over an old movie to make fun of it with his two robots. This was the appeal of the show.
This new trailer looks very similar in tone, complete with new characters including Jonah Ray as the new host and Felicia Day as Kinga Forrester, the person 'forcing' Jonah to watch and make fun of old movies. Patton Oswald is also making an appearance as the other 'bad guy'.
Thanks to Netflix, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 will be making a comeback on their platform on April 14 with 14 new episodes.
