[Watch] New Star Wars Battlefront 2 story trailer teases the fall of the rebellion

It's Star Wars season! A new Star Wars film is just a couple months out and EA is gearing up to release Battlefront 2 in just a few short weeks. Not only will fans get to dive into epic 40 player multiplayer battles set within the Star Wars universe but they'll also get to experience a fully fleshed out single player campaign.

After the backlash of the lack of a narrative in the first game, EA made sure that there was a juicy story to be told in the sequel. The game will follow Iden Versio, leader of an elite Imperial special ops team, after the destruction of the second Death Star. She and the few remaining members of the Empire must rise from the ashes and avenge the Emperor and Lord Vader and destroy the Rebel Alliance. The story will feature appearences from iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia while also providing us with memorable new characters. EA has also noted that this game is canon within the Star Wars universe so this may help bridge some of the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, EA has provided us with a brand new trailer giving us an idea of what to expect from the story. We see explosive action sequences, intense power struggles, and more as a rendition of John Williams' Imperial theme plays over the trailer. You can check it out below.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 drops on November 17th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
