[Watch] New YouTube video tests PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds theory that a cast iron pan can stop a bullet

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG as it's affectionately known is one the year's biggest names in gaming, especially so on Steam. One of its more subtle features is that cast iron pans can double as bullet shields, taking round after round with zero damage to the player. One YouTube channel, Logical Increments, decided to take a look at whether or not this was actually possible. Utilizing real world versions of the P1911, the P92, and the Kar98k, the cast iron pan is laid against a water melon to see how well it can be protected.

The results areā€¦not exactly encouraging.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One later this year, and reports about the performance of the port are predominantly positive. Developer BlueHole also won't be pushing out as many patches as before in an effort to make sure the ones they do release don't break down the game in other areas.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now on PC and will release later this year on Xbox One.
