Watch NFL Rookies react to their Madden NFL 15 ratings

Earlier this month, I wrote how Donny Moore, EA Sports' Madden NFL Ratings Czar, is the most hated man on the Madden dev team. After watching this latest video, you'll understand why.

Over the weekend, EA Sports posted a video of this year's NFL Rookies reacting to their Madden NFL 15 ratings. Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater, Khalil Mack, Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, number one overall pick Jadeveon Clowny and a few other NFL first-timers were all asked to predict their ratings in this year's Madden game. Then they were told what their actual ratings would be.

The reactions are priceless, and about what you'd expect: shock from how much lower their in-game ratings actually are. Ah yes, you've got to work for those ratings, rookies. Prove your worth on the field.

Don't worry, Clowney, you won't have to wait until next year for a bump in ratings. Thanks to Moore's weekly roster updates, a few solid weeks of play could make you one of the highest rated Defensive Ends in the game. And I hope Bortles' interest in his punting isn't a sign of things to come from the Jaguars' offense.

The reactions remind me of the funny story Madden creative director Rex Dickson told me about how one player refused to have his face captured for the game because his ratings were too low in his opinion.

Unfortunately, actual player ratings haven't been revealed just yet, but Donny Moore said earlier this month that the first official info should be revealed "in a few weeks." EA gave us a taste by naming the top five new defensive duos in the game.
