Watch the Nintendo Direct Mini here; All of announcements listed

The rumored Nintendo Direct has been confirmed and revealed in an update to the official Nintendo site. The Nintendo Direct, which has been called a Nintendo Direct Mini, came with a ton of updates on known games and a pretty big reveal!

P.S.: None of the rumors for the January Direct were correct (some of them were partially correct). 1080 TenEighty was not mentioned, despite the trademark.

GAME ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls Remastered is heading to the Nintendo Switch on May 25th, 2018. The remastered game will include the base game, the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, and will support up to six-player multiplayer on dedicated servers.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Donkey Kong is making his debut on the Nintendo Switch in a port of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The game will include the base game, as well as a new “beginner-friendly” mode that lets players enjoy the game as Funky Kong. The groovy surfer known as Funky Kong can double jump, hover, perform infinite rolls and even perform infinite underwater corkscrews.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will release on the Nintendo Switch on May 4.

Kirby Star Allies

The release date for Kirby Star Allies has been revealed! The game will be hitting the Switch on March 16th. The game will support up to four players.

PAYDAY 2

Featuring full touch-screen support, HD rumble, and a new character named Joy, Payday 2 will hit the Nintendo Switch on February 27th.

The platforming adventure game will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch digitally on February 16th.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition

A new version of Hyrule Warriors will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch in ‘Spring,’ including all maps and missions, plus all 29 playable characters from both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game, along with all of the previous paid downloadable content.

New outfits from Breath of the Wild for Link and Zelda will be included.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix

The 2008 DS game will be ported to the Nintendo Switch this year with HD visuals and a new epilogue.

Mario Tennis Aces

Mario Tennis Aces is bringing Mario and tennis to the Nintendo Switch, with the first story mode since the Mario Tennis on Game Boy Advance! The game will feature a variety of missions and boss battles.

Set to launch in Spring.

Celeste

“This modern take on the pure action platformer lets Madeline climb any surface on Celeste Mountain if she has the stamina. Playing in Assist Mode lets players tweak the difficulty, from a slower pace to full-on invincibility. Unlockable B-side chapters offer even more challenging adventures. The game launches digitally for Nintendo Switch on Jan. 25.”

DLC/GAME UPDATES

Super Mario Odyssey

Free DLC will be heading to Super Mario Odyssey in the form of a mini-game called Balloon World. The mini-game features two modes, Hite it and Find it mode. In Hide It mode, players have a certain amount of time to hide a balloon. In Find It mode, players have the same amount of time to locate balloons hidden by other players from around the world.

The game will be available after players have completed the main story in Super Mario Odyssey.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Donkey Kong is heading to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is heading to Mario + Rabbids as a playable character, complete with a new storyline and world. The DLC pack will release in Spring. It will be available for purchase individually, or as part of the Season Pass or Gold Edition of the game.

Pokken Tournament DX Battle Pack

he Battle Pack is now available for purchase in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and includes two Waves of Battle Pokémon and Avatar items. Wave 1 of the Battle Pack contains Battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. Aegislash can change between two formes, and players can wield them both. Wave 2 includes the new Battle Pokémon Blastoise and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mew and Celebi. Wave 1 will be available Jan. 31, and Wave 2 is scheduled for Mar. 23.
