[Watch] Nintendo Switch durability test will have you squirming

The Nintendo Switch released last week and someone is already tearing it apart to see exactly how durable it is. The video can be harrowing for anyone who hasn't been able to grab a Switch for themselves.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything takes us through the durability test, by scratching the screen, manhandling the Joy Cons and more. However, the YouTuber (named Zack), explains why Nintendo probably chose some of the features on the Switch – like the plastic screen.

Interestingly enough, the plastic features on the Switch isn't the real issue here.

Luckily, when Zack stabs the Joy Con's joystick it seems pretty dependable – like it would take years to ruin. The buttons, while plastic, do not feature stickers on the buttons – but have the letters injected into the plastic, which means that letters will never fade away.

Overall, Switch is durable and the video makes one thing clear…BUY A CASE (example) AND SCREEN PROTECTOR (like this one).
