There have been plenty of comments comparing No Man's Sky to Minecraft from the gaming community, but how true is the comparison? YouTuber ibxtoycat (via Kotaku) set out to discover the truth and luckily, they recorded it. So, how big is No Man's Sky in comparison to Minecraft?
What are the stats for each world? Well, No Man's Sky boasts having 18 quintillion planets and any given Minecraft world is 60 million blocks by 60 million blocks (921 quadrillion blocks in total). This means that there are more than 20 times the planets in No Man's Sky than there are possible block formations in Minecraft.
Basically, No Man's Sky has around 20 planets per Minecraft block.
There's no arguing that No Man's Sky is bigger than Minecraft, I mean look at all that math! What can be argued, however, is whether No Man's Sky will be as played as Minecraft after a few years.
