[Watch] Oceanhorn 2 gets its first gameplay trailer

Oceanhorn is an Action-RPG series heavily inspired by the likes of The Legend of Zelda. Its first game is something of a hidden gem on Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and iOS, and because of its relatively quiet success, developer Cornfox & Bros. has been hard at work on a sequel titled Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. Earlier today, the developers posted some unedited footage of the game running on an iPhone 7 Plus.

Here's the trailer:

Putting it in Zelda terms, if the original Oceanhorn was designed to be close to something like Phantom Hourglass than Oceanhorn 2 is the series' Twilight Princess. It's quite a jump, and there's a lot more complexity to this kind of game than the original Oceanhorn was designed to be, so hats off to Cornfox & Bros. for being willing to take that risk.

There's no release date on Oceanhorn 2 at the moment, but the developers have said that they plan to show off the game at the Nordic Game conference in Malmö, Sweden, which starts tomorrow and runs through the 19th of May.
