Watch out celebs, BET is bringing back Punk’d!

I yearn to see Ashton Kutcher in his Von Dutch trucker hat again

Celebrities, your worry-free days are over.

Punk'd, the hidden camera realty show that focused on pranking celebrities instead of your every day average Joe (and made Von Dutch trucker hats incredibly lame to wear), is making a comeback.

Although originally debuting on MTV, it will be BET that is bringing back the show, according to Hollywod Reporter. It makes sense considering both are owned by Viacom.

The network does say, however, that the reboot of the series will be "tailored for the BET audience" — whatever that means. Additionally, audiences will be taken behind the scenes as the pranks are conceptualized and carried out.

It hasn't been announced if Ashton Kutcher, who hosted the show during its original MTV run from 2003 to 2007, will return, but something tells me he doesn't really speak to the BET audience. It's possible the network could do something similar to the brief revival in 2012 in which a different special guest hosted each week's episode.

There's no air date for the new Punk'd reboot, but consider this a warning to all you celebrities out there.

Punk'd is actually the second classic MTV show to be revived in recent weeks. Earlier this month, MTV2 announced plans to bring back Celebrity Death Match.
