[Watch] Overkill’s The Walking Dead gets new trailer; Set in Washington D.C.

The Walking Dead is one of the biggest properties in pop culture right now. It has two TV shows, a long-running comic book series and a handful of video games ranging from your typical mobile games to award-winning console/PC dramas from Telltale Games. For many years, Overkill, the team behind Payday: The Heist and Payday 2, have been working on their own take on The Walking Dead.

The game was announced in 2014 as a four-player co-op FPS set within the universe of The Walking Dead, showing a grim world filled with nothing but horrors. We got a pre-rendered trailer a while ago but since then, Overkill has been quiet on the game but today… that changed. While we still have no idea what the game is really about or what we'll be doing in it, the new trailer revealed that players will be surviving in a dismantled version of Washington D.C., players will fight against both the dead and the living but it's not clear if the game will be open world or if it'll be a more linear experience.

You can view the new trailer below above.

There's also a small behind the scenes video that gives an idea of the look and feel of the game, if you pay close enough attention you will see very small bits of gameplay in the background but it's nothing super interesting.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is scheduled to release in Fall 2018.
