Towards the end of January, it looked like a trailer for Project Cars 2 had leaked. As it turns out, that trailer was not the official announcement trailer because the official trailer has released and it's kind of different. While a number of scenes are recycled from the "leaked" trailer in the official announcement trailer, there are a couple more cars to look at in the official trailer.
Check it out below, with more details on the cars, tracks and more under the description.
Trailer description:
Project CARS 2 is the next evolution in the award-winning racing series, featuring the most iconic cars under the most thrilling of conditions to deliver the “Ultimate Driver Journey” experience. Created by gamers, tested by world-class racing drivers, and the definitive choice of e-Sports pros – Project CARS 2 brings together the essence of motorsports racing in the most beautiful, authentically crafted, and technically advanced racing game on the planet.
According to a tweet that accompanied the video, the game is set to release on the PlayStation 4 in "late 2017" with over 170 cars, more than 60 tracks, "new motorsports, seasons, and iconic brands." Slightly Mad Studios' CEO Ian Bell, previously put the game in a "Septemberish" release window.
The "leaked" video suggested VR compatibility and while this trailer doesn't detail that feature or show off the same VR-like head swiveling effect from looking around, it might still be a feature in development. The "leaked" trailer does feature the same footage in a number of areas.
