[Watch] Shadow of War introduces DLC character that honors developer who passed away from cancer

Shadow of War developer Monolith has immortalized Executive Producer Micheal "Forthog" Forgey into the game as a DLC character after he passed away from cancer last year at the age of 43. The character's name is Forthog Orc-Slayer and is described as "an unstoppable warrior who saves Mordor’s mightiest heroes at their moment of greatest need."

The character's persona is a reflection of who Forgey was on the project as the YouTube video says that he was "always ready to leap into the fray and save the game whenever and wherever he was most needed."

Here's the trailer:

WB Games says that $3.50 of every purchase of the DLC character will go to the Forgey family. The character's retail price is $5 and can be pre-ordered now on Steam and Xbox One. The PS4 version of the DLC will be available at launch.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 10th, 2017.
