[Watch] Sony just released one of the worst looking game trailers you’ll ever see, Life of Black Tiger

What did I just watch? How did this even make it past Q&A? Who at Sony said, "yes, we must have this game on our console"? Why? These are just a few of the questions that bewildered my brain after scrolling the comments section on YouTube and realizing that the PlayStation YouTube channel was indeed not hacked and that this game was real and not a joke.

I'm pretty open minded when it comes to the kinds of games that I think deserve some sort of recognition. But Life of Black Tiger is not one of them. The trailer looks like an early stage development concept video with visuals and collision detection that look like the worst of the PS2-era. Many games look like this when they are being built from the ground up very early on in their development, which is why they are never shown to the public. It's bad for image, and bad for business.

This trailer is not doing the game any favors either as the Like to Dislike ratio skews heavily towards dislikes. As it stands, the trailer has 2,751 Likes to 11,772 Dislikes. That's not okay at all.

Life of Black Tiger got its start as a free-to-play mobile game for Android and iOS, and to be fair, it has scored relatively well in regards to user reviews on both platforms, clocking in at about 4 out of 5 stars. And it's quite possible that the game is legitimately fun on a phone. I have no idea, but suffice it to say, Life of Black Tiger is not going to do well on PS4.
