[Watch] Stuntman breaks record by falling 125 feet for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie

How many wagons of hay would it take to break that fall?

Michael Fassbender's stuntman on the set of the upcoming 'Assassin's Creed' movie jumped a record 125 feet.

This year has been a big year for video game adaptation movies with the releases of 'Angry Birds', 'Ratchet & Clank', and 'Warcraft'. The gaming community, however, is still in for one more cinematic treat with the release of 'Assassin's Creed' this winter. Fans everywhere have been speculating how Michael Fassbender and director Justin Kurzel will tackle some of the trickier effects with such a physically taxing action movie.

It seems that the filmmakers plan on using as many practical effects as possible in order to maintain the movie's realism. During filming, one fearless stuntman agreed to make take a "leap of faith" by jumping a whopping 125 foot structure, the biggest filmset jump in 35 years:

Fassbender's stuntman, Damien Walters, made the leap from a box structure hoisted three distances, first 70 feet, then again at 90 feet, and finally the big moment at 125 feet in the air. While this was a daring jump that likely won't be attempted again for a long time (unless there's a sequel), we won't see the final product until the release of the movie this December.

Assassin's Creed releases December 21st!
