Super Mario Star World is an upcoming fan-made hack of Super Mario 64 from the Nintendo DS that is a port of the N64 hack, Super Mario Star Road. The game aims to have gameplay elements and graphical fidelity that outshines the real game alongside a ton of new levels and challenges. The hack is being developed as a solo project by Skelux, who released a new trailer for the game showing off a new level.
Here's the trailer:
Skelux says that Super Mario Star World is about 80% complete and has been able to work on it at a "decent speed" in large part due to the help they have received on Patreon. It's also worth noting that because Star World has a greater amount of content than Star Road that it's not considered to be a direct port, but rather the finished version of the game Skelux set out to make.
If you're interested in helping Skelux see the Super Mario Star World through to completion while getting your hands on exclusive demos of the game, head over to the Patreon page to support development.
