SyFy Network has released the first official trailer for the upcoming Superman prequel series, 'Krypton'.
It was announced last year that SyFy had plans to begin work on a new DC Comics prequel series called 'Krypton', which would hearken back to the less-exploded days of Superman's home planet. This came as no surprise considering the roaring success of its predecessors like FOX's Gotham, or The CW's already expanding Justice League bench with 'Arrow', 'The Flash', and 'Legends of Tomorrow'.
The series will center on Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the would-be grandfather to Kal-El, aka Superman. In the heart of Kandor, the capital city of Krypton, families war over the future of their planet. After the House of El had been shamed and ostracized, Seg-El fights for justice in the name of his family and the hope of restoring stability to this world.
After months of waiting, SyFy has finally revealed the first official teaser trailer for the series. There's still no word on an official release date, but we do know its slated to release later this year, likely for the fall season. Check it out here:
The show will star Cemeron Cuffe, Ian McElhinney, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, and Aaron Pierre.
