Watch the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition trailer

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition hits PC on August 24 and contains a new chapter called Artorias of the Abyss. The game can be played using either Steam or Windows Live.

Console owners will be able to download the Artorias of the Abyss expansion as DLC this winter.

The PC version will not allow for modding and will be a direct port of the game from consoles. It's likely to support gamepads, rather than use keyboard controls. However, the Prepare to Die Edition will feature an enhanced player-versus-player mode.
