Ezio is the fan favorite character of the Assassin's Creed games, perhaps only rivaled by Edward Kenway, and Assassin's Creed II is one of the most popular entries in the series. An updated port of the game was eventually going to happen, the only questions were "When?" and “At what value?”
The answer to the first question is November 15, 2016 in North America. For the second, Ubisoft has gone the extra mile, deciding to include Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Revelations, as well as well as the short films Assassin's Creed: Lineage and Embers, as a package deal. Not a bad value at all.
How much of a difference can you see in these upgraded ports? Quite a bit, as evidenced by Ubisoft's new comparison video. The resolution upgrade and improved textures make the games look as good as mid-7th gen games gets on consoles. While it's a shame there's no 60fps, a solid 30fps with no dips should go a long way towards making the experience better.
