[Watch] The first trailer for Alien: Covenant is absolutely filled with aliens

Last year while Alien: Covenant was still filming, director Ridley Scott detailed that the film would feature the entire Alien family, the face-hugger, chest-burster and 'the big boy.' In addition to the Aliens, it will also feature extensive sets – something Scott and the Alien franchise is known for.

The first trailer for Alien: Covenant shows all of this in glorious, glorious flashes. Basically, if you were upset that Prometheus didn't have enough extraterrestrial cockroach-esque murderers, Covenant will satisfy your Alien needs (at least the trailer will).

The trailer itself has major callbacks to Prometheus. We see the ship that Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) flew into the planet, as well as Daniels (Katherine Waterston) grabbing her nametag.

There are a bunch of other details in the trailer, but I don't want to spoil them!

Trailer description:

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant is set to release on May 19th, 2017. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
