The Last of Us 2 is moving right along in production as motion capture is being, well, captured in a studio. Green dots on faces and many prop weapons are pictured as Ellie's actress Ashley Johnson tweets them out.
The odd thing is, Troy Baker is with her. What's this mean to the "Joel is dead" theorists? Regardless, they look like they're having a ton of fun. There's a gif of Shannon Woodward flipping a mo-cap machete around. She's playing a new character in The Last of Us 2.
I'm a little uncomfortable with the ease that @shannonwoodward took to that machete. pic.twitter.com/tZG1n959UY

Our favorite picture, however, is is one taken by Neil Druckmann of co-writer Halley Gross riding a mo-cap horse wielding a shotgun. We don't think Gross will appear in the game, but she probably just couldn't resist striking an action pose. Or it's a power move to assert her place on the creative team. Maybe a little of both?
The Last of Us 2 has yet to get a release date, but GameZone is up to the minute on news from the next Naughty Dog production.
