The third installment of the Planet of the Apes trilogy is less than a year away from release and that means a whole load of teasers and trailers leading up to release, and the first one has been let out from the cage.
Let's get down to monkey business. The third, movie aptly named "War for the Planet of the Apes," kicks off the, well, war that the titles have been alluding to since they rebooted the franchise back in 2011. Like we all know, war never changes, and the teaser sure is setting the tone for the war between humanity and well made CGI monkeys, and if the official description is anything to go by it will be an intense film.
"Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet"
War for the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for July 2017, meaning that just like its predecessors it will be a summer blockbuster.
