While waiting for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I was a bit taken aback when I heard the first lines, "We are hope. We are honor. We are courage." Turns out, we are Overwatch, Blizzard's upcoming multiplayer action title.
With The Force Awakens hitting theaters, Blizzard has released a new trailer that will be "making its debut in select theaters nationwide," according to the description. I'm not sure if it'll be played in front of all movies, or if it was specifically attached to The Force Awakens in my area (south Florida), but either way, you can watch it online righ tnow.
The roughly minutelong teaser doesn't show off any gameplay, but does have Blizzard's wonderful CGI featuring the game's heroes protecting ordinary citizens of the world.
Overwatch currently has a release window of Spring 2016. It will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Interestingly, Blizzard isn't the only company trying to capture the Star Wars audience. Sony recently revealed that it will also be showing a trailer for Uncharted 4 before select showings of The Force Awakens. That trailer, however, has not shown up online yet.
