The king of allĀ Karp, Magikarp and for just $500. It must be a beast if it actually costs money to acquire, right? Right? Yeah, not so much. But it's OK because most every Pokemon trainer at some point or another laid down the cash for Magikarp whether it was just to say they did or were actually fleeced. Though not many admit to the latter.
The Pokemon Company is well aware of the lovable loser culture surrounding Magikarp and released a rather on-point music video as an ode to it. Beware, the song can get stuck in your head, but it's totally worth it.
Winning with a Magikarp in the Pokemon games is something of a badge of honor, as it takes a lot of planning, grinding, and patience to pull off. Both Pokemon Sun and Moon and Pokemon Ruby have been beaten by some really dedicated players, so there's proof that no matter how difficult, it can be done.
