[Watch] The Star Wars: The Last Jedi Official teaser releases

JarJar is Sith?!

The first official teaser for this Christmas' big blockbuster movie has arrived, the teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is here at last.

It is a rather long teaser, but at the same time it manages to not say that much while still saying quite a bit if you look hard enough, quite a feat, don't you think?

The teaser shows Rey training with the last remaining Jedi, who we know as Luke Skywalker, learning to master the force and to feel it around her. It is during her training that Lucasfilms cuts in flashes of what awaits us, which is a smashed Kylo Ren helmet, a big battle amongst the stars, a burning planet with Phasma leading her troops, and of course, a lightsaber duel.

Star War: The Last Jedi is set for release December 15, 2017.

In other Star Wars news, and there is a lot: The trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 got leaked a few days ago and after the leak when EA had pulled it away from all over the web they announced that a full reveal could be expected tomorrow at Star Wars: Celebration. Rumor has it that BioWare is working on a reboot for Knights of the Old Republic, alternatively "something Star Wars related". Even though Carrie Fisher passed away last December her legacy lives on, she will appear both in Star Wars episode VIII and in episode IX. It also turns out that after 40 years Han Solo may not actually be named Han Solo. Last but not least, Disney has plans for Star Wars films up until 2030, so you better enjoy them.
