[Watch] The Surge releases its ‘Stronger, Faster, Tougher’ trailer

The Surge is an upcoming Action-RPG that takes a liberal amount of inspiration from the Souls series. However, it also puts its own spin on the framework of that game, namely via a limb cutting system and its Sci-Fi setting. Today, publisher Focus Home Interactive released an all-new CGI trailer for the game titled 'Stronger, Faster, Tougher.' The trailer showcases the protagonist, Warren, facing off against mechanical threats deep within the heart of the CREO compound.

The world of The Surge looks to explore a mega corporation's attempt to solve climate change going horribly awry. After the facility is struck by a catastrophic event, the machines inside go insane and augmented co-workers of Warren's seem to want him dead. Actually, pretty much everything wants him dead.

The game's limb cutting system is unique in the sense that whatever you cut off, has the potential to be able to be turned into a weapon or piece of armor for your own personal use.

The Surge releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 16th, 2017.
