[Watch] theHunter: Call of the Wild’s gorgeous gameplay trailer

Go outdoors but stay indoors

theHunter: Call of the Wild is making steady progress towards its spring 2017 release and today a new gameplay trailer dropped. It's fair to say that the outdoors has never looked better.

The original theHunter was known for its realistic environments and animal behavior and that is something theHunter: Call of the Wild seems to improve a lot on. The latest gameplay trailer comes just a week after the announcement trailer had been released and shows off one of the hunting areas players will get to hunt in. The trailer itself is " captured in-engine" so it does not necessarily mean actual gameplay, though some parts of it looks like real gameplay.

Besides showing off how gorgeous nature is the latest trailer also shows some of the mechanics like how animals can smell you, that moving in foliage makes you make more sound, and that temperature of animal poop shows how long ago it was since they were there. The trailer also shows how lookout points help players explore, what function hunting cabins will have, and some of the new guns players can expect to hunt with. Check out the trailer above to see all the new and returning mechanics in all its glory.

theHunter: Call of the Wild is set for release sometime in spring 2017 on PC.
