Holy crap, this guy just might have the best costume of the year. You know you're going to see a billion Harley Quinn's all thinking they have a unique idea, but YouTuber mattcyborgelt has upped the ante. Regardless of how you feel about the game itself, there's something special about a costume that uses practical effects in the way that this one does.
Obviously, it would have been ridiculous (and expensive) if the costume was an actual touch screen, but its mechanics still manage to capture the essence of the game. You spin a Pokemon GO logo, which spits out a Pokeball, which you can then hurl at a dancing Pikachu. The Pikachu then turns into a giant paper Pokeball, which wiggles until three stars appear overhead, capturing the Pokemon.
Pokemon GO is currently running an in-game event where some of the more spooky first-gen Pokemon, such as Gengar, Hypno, and Zubat are easier to find. The game has also received a lot of attention since launching for things that have nothing to do with the game itself, namely improved health, robberies, and huge bills for data roaming.
