[Watch] Top-down Martian Shooter, Solstice Chronicles: MIA gets release date in new trailer

Lots of mutants to shoot.

After wrapping up its Fig campaign back in March, it looks as though the Martian twin-stick shooter, Solstice Chronicles: MIA is just about ready to make its debut. In a new teaser trailer, developer Ironward revealed that the game will be launching on Steam on July 26th, 2017. The game casts players in the role of a lone space marine with a chatty robot companion as he faces off against hordes of deadly mutants.

Here's the trailer:

Solstice Chronicles: MIA packs itself with plenty of action, but also aims to take a more strategic approach with the inclusion of class-based skill-trees, upgradeable weaponry, and drone abilities to supplement your battle prowess.

It's also worth noting that the game's predecessor, The Red Solstice is currently being discounted by 70% thanks to Steam's huge Summer Sale, so if you're looking for a preview as to what to expect from Solstice Chronicles: MIA, you can do so for $5.99.
