Tis the season for horror games…for some reason. Between the release of Resident Evil 7 and the announcements of Perception and 2Dark as well as an all-new Call of Cthulhu trailer, there's a little something for seemingly every kind of horror fan. Now, Spanish indie studio 3D2 Entertainment has announced the impending release of their upcoming psychological horror investigation game, The Crow's Eye.
The team released an all-new trailer (embedded above) that showcases a little bit of the game's atmosphere from its central location, the abandoned Crowswood University. The story is revealed through documents, recordings, and radio broadcasts which are scattered around the environment, leveraging a similar style of storytelling to that of something like Gone Home.
You play as a young man who finds himself trapped on the abandoned campus for reasons unknown 20 years after the disappearance of four students forced the University to shut its doors to investigate the surrounding area. More people begin disappearing as the days go by, including police officers and professors, and no progress is made on the case.
