Rise of the Tomb Raider has been a game that since it's release, boasted about its graphics and visual fidelity, it made, even more, waves when the game was one of the first titles on PS4 Pro to receive visual and performance upgrades, due to the increased power of the Pro's hardware.
Now the Xbox One X is getting its time to shine with Lara Croft, as SquareEnix and Microsoft released a new trailer today showing off the improved game. The video below claims that "Rise" will have the highest fidelity of any Tomb Raider, new HDR video color improvements, true 3D audio support for Dolby Atmos, enhanced texture resolutions, improved anti-aliasing (i.e. sharper image quality) and increased shadow details, to name a few.
*Author's Note: As someone who owns and has played Rise of the Tomb Raider on a PS4 Pro on a 60" Samsung 4K TV, I watch this video on my 28"4K computer monitor, since it's available in 4K, and to be 100% honest, I don't see any difference from the PS4 Pro version. That being said, this game is from 2015 and there's only so much a developer can do to freshen up old textures and details. Time will tell us the Xbox One X's true potential.
