If you ever watched Adam West's glorious take on Batman from the 1960's, then Wolfenstein II's new Blitzmensch trailer (embedded above) is just the thing to brighten your day. It's pretty much in-game Nazi propaganda, showing off the "righteous" hero Blitzmensch and his partner Fräulein Fox defending the world from the evil of American liberty. It's pretty funny stuff and falls right in line with all of the other clever trailers that Bethesda has thrown together for the game.
There's no official indication of whether Bethesda intends to pursue further Blitzmensch trailers, though doing so would be some insanely awesome marketing. But the official description on the YouTube video does hint at not missing "a single episode of Blitzmensch," so who knows.
On top of that, there's a brief look at some gameplay at the end with smooth 60 FPS gun-toting action. Frankly, the game is shaping up to be an excellent shooter. In fact, in our hands-on time with the game, Tom Caswell remarked that the game could be "Game of the Year material."
We'll see if that comes to fruition, but for now, the hopes are high that Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will deliver when it releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 27th, 2017.
