BAM! ENTERTAINMENT BRINGS WAY OF THE
SAMURAI(tm) TO PLAYSTATION® 2 RETAILERS THIS WEEK

Acclaimed Samurai Fighting Game Already
Achieved Number One Status in Japan

San Jose, Calif. (May 30, 2002) – BAM!
Entertainment (Nasdaq: BFUN) today announced that its action fighting game, Way
of the Samurai(tm), for the Sony PlayStation 2 begins shipping to stores this
week.

Way of the Samurai is a weapons-based combat
game that involves a large cast of characters in a multi-path adventure that is
never the same experience twice. Way of the Samurai was developed by Japan-based
Acquire, the developer of the first two titles in the acclaimed Tenchu series.
The title, called Samurai in Japan was the #1 selling console title in Japan the
week of its debut.

"Way of the Samurai certainly has the Acquire
touch with its deep and consuming gameplay, impressive graphics and incredible
fighting techniques," said Alain Tascan, Vice President of Worldwide Product
Development at BAM! Entertainment. "The game’s compelling multi-path adventure
style means that each step of the story is determined by the player’s actions,
making it a truly unique experience every time you play it."

Way of the Samurai places the player in the
midst of feudal Japan as warring factions vie for control of a country. Way of
the Samurai is set in 1878 when the collapse of the Tokugawa Shogunate and the
rise of the Meiji Restoration Era have brought an end to the age of Samurai Born
to a time that no longer needs or welcomes them, these Samurai are a far cry
from the heroes and legends that preceded them. This is one warrior’s experience
of the way of the Samurai in their final days.

In this period-based action-adventure,
deception and betrayal are tools to be used at will, with sudden, swift combat
the final deciding factor. Each character in the game has a different fighting
style dependant on their sword type, and with more than forty types of swords
and 200 different fighting techniques, incredibly realistic one-on-one duels
make Way of the Samurai the ultimate Samurai adventure game.

Way of the Samurai for PlayStation 2 is
currently available for an estimated retail price of $49.99 and is rated M for
Mature by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). For more information
