Wearable Mega Man helmets get new details and specs

Capcom first announced its incoming line of wearable Mega Man helmets just before San Diego Comic-Con 2015 commenced, but only today revealed the more fiddly specifics of the headware fan fare.

The helmet features a fully functional LED arrangement which will be powered by two AAA batteries. To actually get the thing on, you’ll need to undo its deftly hidden clamshell hinge. A closer look at the newest batch of pictures also reveals some welcome air holes on the rear of the helmet, as well a mesh internal lining.

Massive as it is, the helmet will surely be a bit loose on some. To ensure comfort, Capcom has included a removable layer of padding, offering a comfortable fit for small to large hat (head) sizes.

At the time of writing, Mega Man helmets are still available for pre-order to the tune of $150, but are said to be going fast. If you want to secure one for yourself, head to the Capcom store. The helmets will ship Winter 2015.
