Week 1 of Borderlands 2’s $100,000 Loot Hunt brought massive carnage

Today is the 7th and last day of the first week of Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt. While this is the end of a good thing, it just means Week 2 will be starting in no time; blah blah one door closes and another opens. With the end of this week though, Gearbox received some lovely stats from the massive SHiFT data. Shall we?

  • Participants have killed more than 15,000,0000 enemies
  • Participants have picked up nearly 1,000,000 pieces of loot

Those are some massive numbers for only one week of the event. Looking to the future though, tomorrow starts Week 2 featuring Captain Scarlett. She offers a $10,000 cash prize and limited edition Turtle Beach XP SEVEN headsets. Let’s not forget this is seven more shots to win the $50,000 grand prize and tons of in-game loot as well.

Just because Week 1 is coming to the end, the Loot Hunt is just beginning. Shoot baddies, collect loot, save Pandora!
