Were you unable to connect during last month’s Xbox Live outage? Microsoft will give you a free week of Live

While Xbox Live did better than most online launches when Titanfall launched March 11th, it still wasn't perfect; there were outages that affected people. Should you be one of those affected, you'll be getting a free week of Xbox Live for your troubles.

This reimbursement will only go out to those who were unable to log-in during the various outages. If you had no problems, you won't be credited a free week since, well, you had no problems.

Microsoft is reportedly letting qualifying gamers know about their free week through in-system messages:

We know you experienced an issue signing in to your Xbox One on 3/11/2014. We apologize and will soon give you 7 days of Xbox Live Gold for your inconvenience.

Let's hope that one day this won't be a problem.
