WESTWOOD STUDIOS TEAMS WITH IGAMES TO OFFER EARTH & BEYOND

Game to be
featured at more than 50 game centers around the country

LAS VEGAS, NV (August
30, 2002) –

Westwood Studios(tm) announced today it’s teamed
with iGames(tm), a national organization of PC game centers, to open the
public test of Earth & Beyond(tm)
to more than 50 centers around the country.
Earth & Beyond,
the first online
role-playing galaxy, will be published by Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) under
the EA GAMES(tm) brand this fall.

Today, more than
50 iGames centers will host simultaneous
preview parties of Earth & Beyond,
giving all attendees a chance to play in the public test before the game is
released.  For a full listing of the iGames centers that will be hosting the
events, and to register to attend one of the parties, visit:

"If you want to
play in the public test of Earth & Beyond, this is the perfect opportunity to
see what you’ve been missing," said Craig Alexander, vice president and
executive producer of Earth & Beyond.  "iGames is a
great partner, and we’re glad to be able to work with them to get the game out
to the fans."

"Earth and Beyond looks absolutely fantastic.

It’s gotten a lot of attention at our member centers who are already
participating in the public test," said Mark Nielsen, executive director at
iGames.  "The Earth and Beyond Preview Parties will provide all players
interested in playing in the public test with their own account and the
opportunity to play with other fans in a social, high-bandwidth environment."

Westwood is
ramping up the public test of Earth &
Beyond
over the next few months.  Thousands of new testers will be
selected in August and September, and anyone wishing to participate in the
public test can sign up online at

www.earthandbeyond.com

or visit one of the iGames game centers around the country
that is hosting the game.

In addition,
gamers who pre-purchase the retail version of
Earth & Beyond
at Electronics
Boutique, GameStop, Amazon.com, or EA.com stores
will be automatically included in the public test without having to sign up at
the official Earth & Beyond
website.

Earth & Beyond

is the world’s first online role-playing galaxy.  Players star in their own
sci-fi epic as they become the captains of their own starships, and
explore, trade and fight with thousands of others.
As the struggle to colonize the stars unfolds, players will determine the fate
of humanity and the course of the galactic history.
