Fallout 4 is almost upon us. The hype is real and fans are finding all sorts of ways to entertain themselves while we wait for its highly anticipated release.
One group of gamers, chipmusic band 8 Bit Weapon, decided to actually create a tribute to Fallout 4, imagining what the game would look and play like if released in 1984. Take a look at 'Fallout 84,' an "interactive art piece tribute to the forthcoming Fallout 4."
As you'll see in the video below, the demo runs as if it were released in 1984 to play on an a real Apple II computer.
According to 8 Bit Weapon, the demo was created using Outlaw Editor, an open-source game development software tool. Music and sound effects from the Apple II were added afterward.
I gotta admit, even on the Apple II compute, Fallout 4 (or 84) looks legit. I'd play it.
