What’s downloadable this week, Nintendo? 6/21/2012

Nintendo's got a pretty big selection of downloadable titles this week. Not all of them will win everyone over, but there's one title in particular that should tug at gamers' nostalgic heartstrings. And that game is …

Double Dragon II on the Wii Virtual Console! Aww, yeah! For 500 Wii Points you'll get the chance to relive some awesome memories. I loved Double Dragon II, and I can honestly say it's worth the five bucks. Plus, it'll set you up nicely for Double Dragon Neon. Of course, if you've got a hankering for some 2D gameplay but would rather play something newer, you can always check out Save the Furries on WiiWare. The game is priced at 1,000 Wii Points and features physics-based puzzles and colorful visuals.

On the 3DS eShop we've got Order Up!! If food preparation is your thing, you may want to check this sim out for $9.99. GameZone's Matt Liebl really dug the PlayStation 3 version, so if this one's anything like that iteration, it could be a winner. There's also Slitherink by Nikoli, which is kind of like a Sudoku game … I think. In any case, it's priced at $4.99 and supports up to four players.

If you've got some match three needs that have to be fulfilled, check out Jewel Legends: Tree of Life for 500 DSi Points on DSiWare (or $4.99 on the eShop). And if you're an idiot who actually wants to play an edutainment game for some weird reason, Lola's Fruit Shop Sudoku has what you're looking for and sports a 200 DSi Point ($1.99 on 3DS) price tag. Oh, this game's for kids? I guess that makes sense.
