When Driveclub releases next week for PlayStation 4, it'll come in two editions: the regular, full-priced retail edition with all of the features, and the slightly stripped-down PlayStation Plus Edition which will be free for PlayStation Plus members.
PlayStation Access today released a new video detailing everything that's included in the PS Plus Edition of the game.
The first, and probably most important, thing to note is that Driveclub: PS Plus Edition will feature all of the same game modes and online capabilities of the "complete" retail version. You'll be able to send and beat challenges set by friends, compete in online races, and join a club.
At launch, PS Plus Edition will offer one location (India), 11 tracks, 5 tour events, and 10 cars to race with. Plus members can also look forward to the free dynamic weather update.
Think of it as sort of a glorified demo, giving you the option to play the game and upgrade at any time to the full edition for one single payment of $49.99. Once you upgrade, all of the tracks, cars, and DLC will become available to you. Also, once you've upgraded, the full version of the game will remain yours to keep even if you choose not to remain a PS Plus member.
Driveclub: PS Plus Edition will be available on the same day as the regular edition on October 7, exclusively for PS4.
