Earlier today, Mojang and Sony confirmed Minecraft will be released for PlayStation 3 tomorrow, December 17. It seems though, that those waiting for Mojang's sandbox adventure game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 will have to wait a bit longer — like sometime in 2014 longer.
Mojang's Owen Hill wasn't able to offer a specific release date for the PS4 or Vita versions of the game, but he did tell Sony fans to "Expect them sometime next year." Hopefully that's more towards the beginning of the year.
Mojang also doesn't know if the PS3 Edition will feature Remote Play or compatibility with the PS4 or Vita editions. "We'll let you know as soon as we do," Hill said. There was also no mention of price or any sort of Cross Buy or upgrade promotion.
