After a recent updated release for episode 4 and 6 of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, fansub group the Witch Hunt has announced that they will be collaborating with HOBIBOX to bring the popular doujin game to a greater audience.
Gamers can now purchase the sound novel online from the HOBIBOX website for the same price as the original DVDs and can be patched using the English Installer from witch-hunt.com. For the uninitiated, Umineko no Naku Koro ni (literally ‘When the Seagulls Cry‘) is a popular murder mystery sound novel created by the authors of the equally famous Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. The story takes place in the year 1986 at a small, secluded island named Rokkenjima, owned by the head of a wealthy family. After a typhoon traps a number of visiting family members on the island, strange and deadly events start occuring. Sounds good?
