Where are all the Dying Light reviews?

How's Techland's parkour-infused, survival-action game?

As you're probably well aware by now, Techland's Dying Light releases tomorrow. As one of the more highly anticipated games this month, many of you are probably dying to know how the game is.

It's an understandable concern, especially for those of you who have played the developer's previous games Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. Unfortunately, it's one we don't yet have an answer for. That's because we — along with many other outlets — just received our copy of Dying Light.

As you may know, Dying Light doesn't have an embargo, but we're waiting to play through it a bit more before we post any sort of impressions. We're hoping to have a full review later this week (as soon as possible), but stay tuned while you wait as we'll have initial impressions and gameplay videos to hold you over.

For those unfamiliar, Dying Light is a first-person, action survival-horror game that emphasizes parkour traversial through an urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak. During the day, you’ll set out to scavenge for supplies, but at night you better find cover because the hunter becomes the hunted. Dying Light offers two unique gameplay experiences as the infected become more aggressive and dangerous when the sun goes down. It was also announced last week that Dying Light's "Be the Zombie" multiplayer mode — formerly a pre-order DLC bonus — will be free for everyone.
