Whoa, Back to the Future recreated in GTA 5 is heavy

While plenty of famous franchises have gotten the fan-made tribute in Grand Theft Auto 5, this one is particularly special because we're celebrating Back to the Future's 30th anniversary this year. Using Rockstar Editor and a number of Back to the Future mods, YouTube user "GTA Series Videos" has faithfully recreated the scene in which Einstein the dog unknowingly becomes the first time-traveler as Doc Brown (played by Trevor) and a character modeled after Marty McFly test the DeLorean time machine.

These sort of tributes are a dime-a-dozen, but it's actually pretty amazing how this video captures the essence of Back to the Future. And it comes at such a perfect time too as we're rapidly approaching October 21, 2015 — the date Marty and Doc travel to in the future in Back to the Future: Part II.
